Alright, I'm really bored at work. So I decided to make an anime thread for discussion. Hopefully this will be fun and interesting for everyone. A good start is to make a list of all the anime you've seen up to date. It may take some brainstorming, but it's good to kill time if you need to. Oh, and edit and update your list too if you can. It is a great way to share about what anime you've seen. I think these are all that I can think of for now. I will need to go home and double check all my collections again.

Yes, Beserk is a really well done anime. I've seen it on rental DVD I think, quite a while ago. It is done by Anime Works/Media Blasters. Lots of anime work they pick up and do the translation for it are really good too. I should have gotten a copy for my collection.

Anime theme based on Medieval/Fantasy settings are some of my favourites to watch. Of these theme settings, you can further classify the genre into comedy or one of a more serious nature like Beserk. If you like Beserk, you will enjoy Claymore as well as that is my most recent favourite anime to date.

For the comical side of fantasy themed based anime, I recommend Louie the Rune Soldier, Slayers, and Magic Knight Rayearth. Actually Magic Knight Rayearth falls somewhere in between the comical and serious side, and used to be one of my favourite anime too. For those of you who like Tsubasa Chronicles, you will probably enjoy its anime artwork because its done by the same company CLAMP. They make really nice drawings. Card Captor Sakura is another one done by CLAMP.

Which ones are your favourites?

Fruits Basket is a pretty nice series. The Higurashi series and Princess Tutu got high ratings. Nanatsuiro Drops got mixed ratings. Just read about the Higurashi series, sounds like an interesting plot and story. Maybe I'll watch it if I get the chance. Btw, Zero no Tsukaima second and third seasons are out I believe. I wanna get the fansubs but couldn't find them around yet.

Anybody else into anime? C'mon, its der best!

My PC crashed on me a few weeks ago, and I'm quite upset because I lost a bunch of my precious series since I had to reformat by drive.
Now its the hard task of trying to recover them. It takes forever to search and download and I don't have the time to do it.

Well, I really love Anime, but I never know what animes to watch. I only watch the animes I've heard are really good (Death Note) or that I've read the manga counterpart for (FMA).

Though, I do want to watch Lucky Star. It looks hilarious! XD

I usually try to break away from mainstream anime that everyone hypes about, unless I'm utterly convinced that they are really good from reviews I read. As such, I try to look for lesser known anime series that are just as good, if not better. However, some titles I've come across are a big disappointment. So its really like hit and miss type of deal. If I'm lucky enuf, I'll come across some really excellent titles.

I would watch more anime, if I had a consistent place to watch it without having to search through endless Google pages, or find it, only to have it deleted (Damn you Crunchyroll! D:<).

You know there are such things as called Fansubs, Meion? They are the best to download your anime for keeps. Plus you won't spend a penny. You'll need to have BitTorrent to download it, and it sometimes takes days to do it. But its worth it in the end.

'Course I know about Subs.

Sub > Dub. >3


I just don't like download stuff. I have a laptop, with very limited space as it is. I dunno if I can afford to download entire seasons of anime. D:
